Board Members

Board Members are commited to the work of the Association and freely give up their own time. There are usually seven Board meetings each year, and the dates of our Board meetings can be found in the Governance page in the Library section on the website. Copies of Agendas and Minutes of Board meetings are available on the website.  

Fiona Boath
Chair, Killin

Fiona was elected as Chair of the Board in September 2024.  Previously, Fiona was Vice Chair of the Board and also the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee from 2019 to 2022 and then again for 2023-24.  Fiona also held the position of Secretary for the Board from October 20216 to 2019 and has been a Board member since 2006.

Fiona is very active in the local community of Killin and has completed the SQA in Governance of Scottish Housing Associations and SHARE online training programme.

Alison Smith
Joint Vice Chair, Balfron

Alison was elected to the Board of Management in September 2023 and has been a member of the Association for almost 20 years. Alison works as a housing consultant specialising in business planning and governance. Prior to this, Alison worked for several housing organisations in a variety of development roles in both urban and rural areas. Alison has a keen interest in sustainability.   

Andrew Faulk
Joint Vice Chair, Aberfoyle

Andrew began his career as a land surveyor in the construction industry, before moving to work on environmental policy and economic development. More recently, he has worked on issues facing consumers, including a period leading on energy policy for Consumer Focus Scotland. Andrew is now semi-retired and joined the RSHA Board in September 2021. He is also a member of a Scottish Water customer group and board member of Strathard Community Trust. He has lived in Aberfoyle since 2010, and outside interests include walking and cycling.

Andrew a member of our Investment Working Group and was elected as the Chair of the Group in September 2024.

Mark Griffiths 
Board Member, Callander 

Mark has been a member of the Board since May 2016 and was Chair from October 2019 to September 2024.  Mark continues to be a vital member of our Board and was elected as Vice Chair in September 2024. Mark was also Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee from October 2017 to October 2019. Mark has lived in Callander for over 20 years and, following a 40 year career as a Chartered Accountant in industry and latterly as the Managing Director of an electrical engineering company, is now retired following a period as a self-employed consultant.

Mark is Chair of Callander Youth Project Trust and a Director of Callander Community Development Trust and seeks to provide a real link between the provision of affordable housing, employability and skills training and economic success for our communities.

Margaret Vass, OBE
Board Member, Blanefield

Margaret became a Board member in 2011, and was Chairperson from 2013 to 2019.

Margaret was awarded an OBE and is  a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing (FCIH). Margaret has over 36 years’ experience of working in housing and was formerly Depute Director of Housing in Glasgow, specialising in homelessness and tenant participation. She was President of the Chartered Institute of Housing 1998/99 and has served on numerous government advisory groups.
Margaret was a board member of Thenue Housing Association for 9 years, and Vice Chairperson for 3 years.

Lynda McColl
Board Member, Aberfoyle

Lynda has lived most of her years in the Stirling area, although has worked all over Scotland. Originally from Gartmore, Lynda moved to Callander then back to Aberfoyle. Currently Lynda is a Community Councillor with Strathard Community Council advocating for the residents. Lynda's background is accounting administration with a passion for nature and the environment. 

Lynda joined the Board in June 2023 as a Casual member and was elected to Board in September 2023.

Vicki Cutler
Board Member, Blairgowrie

Vicki joined the Board of Management in March 2025 and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in health and safety. Having spent over 20 years working in the social housing sector around the UK, most latterly as a consultant specialising in tenant and resident safety, Vicki is also an experienced Board Member. 

Vicki has lived in the rural outskirts of Blairgowrie for the last 8 years.

Moray Nichol
Board Member, Muirhill

Moray joined the Board in March 2025 and has over 20 years’ of experience working in local government, social housing and higher education.  Moray brings with him a comprehensive understanding of quality and performance management, corporate governance and compliance, and the management of strategic risk.  

Kirsty Kirke
Board Member, Milnathort

Kirsty joined our Board in November 2025.

Kieran McHale
Board Member, Bromley

Kieran joined the Board in November 2025 and brings expertise in housing delivery,  governance, strategic leadership, and public sector transformation. As Head of the Chief Property Office at Homes England,  the government’s housing and regeneration agency,  he has delivered major efficiency initiatives, unlocking millions in savings and improving operational models.

Kieran is a strong advocate for inclusion, chairing Homes England’s LGBTQ+ network and serving on the national executive of Building Equality. Kieran grew up in Balfron, in a RSHA home, he understands the importance of what we do and is excited to drive our growth to provide homes.

Board Member, Drymen
