Our Housing Stock

Most of our stock is mainstream housing for social rent. Our average rent for a two-bed property is £87 per week. We also have a small number of homes for low-cost home-ownership.  Please see map below:

We have an ongoing development programme with plans, as set down in the Stirling Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP), to build around 150 more homes in the coming 2 years.  We are currently planning to develop in Balmaha, and develop further in both Callander and Killearn.  

The majority of our homes have been built by the Association during the last 30 years. They all meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS) and a relatively high proportion (95%) already meet the Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH).

Our homes include a range of house sizes and types. Many are built to the “housing for varying needs” standard, to improve physical access for those with mobility problems. A smaller number have been purpose designed with enhanced features, including some that are accessible to wheelchair users.
